Teaching through Stories

12 Jun

Teaching through stories is a very effective mode of teaching young learners aged between two and twelve years old. Montessori and primary teachers often adapt this method of teaching because it is interesting and has more impact on the minds of these young children.

Primary-teacher-training

Primary teacher training is an ideal course for teachers aspiring to teach kids of this particular age group and acquaints them with child psychology. They are made aware of the social, emotional, physical and mental needs of children. A teacher on completion of a primary teacher training course is able to formulate appropriate lessons and make learning a fun and interesting exercise for these toddlers. The kids must be given space to learn and develop their imaginative skills. A primary teacher training is essential for all primary teachers because the education imparted to these young minds is the basis on which a child later grows and develops a unique personality.

A Montessori course must be compact and systematic in approach because Montessori education is the basis on which a child later grows and develops a unique personality. A Montessori course must include the basics of all subjects essential for a child to learn and to gain a clear understanding of the world. But the course must be interesting to stir the curiosity inherent in every child and easily understandable. A child must be able to relate to the lessons and take active participation in them.

Montessori training focuses not only on academics but also on behavioral and moral upbringing. The primary motive of Montessori training is to make a toddler learn through his physical senses about the environment and to develop his imaginative skills and learn social interaction. A child studying in a Montessori course is trained to attain self-discipline and confidence and develop the ability to concentrate. Montessori training stirs the enthusiasm in a child to learn, create, help and care for the environment and for others.

Montessori and primary teachers find it easy to teach about morals and create a general awareness in children with the help of stories, which captivate their interest and stimulate their minds.
